Este chico ha sido uno de los baluartes de la defensa del equipo campeón de la pasada temporada del college football. Tiene buen físico aunque, seguramente, deberá de ganar algo más de masa muscular y peso en el siguiente nivel. En mi opinión es uno de los tapados del ultimo Draft, sólo ha jugado una temporada completa como titular en NCAA y quizás por eso no esté rankeado más arriba. Mi predicción es que podría salir en la zona media de la 3ª ronda, más abajo creo que sería un robo. Su caso recuerda al de muchos otros, que toman el camino hacia Inglaterra desde la cantera del FC Barcelona, como las famosas marchas de Cesc Fàbregas o Jon Toral. Físicamente es un lateral de estatura media, 1,77 m, y un buen peso, adecuado a su altura, 74 kg. No es muy fuerte y destaca más por su velocidad que por su fortaleza. Buen arranque y gran velocidad punta, aunque más ágil que rápido. Su ámbito de juego es la banda derecha casi exclusivamente. En el pasado jugaba como extremo, pero tanto él como todos su técnicos lo tenían claro: Bellerín acabará jugando como lateral. Es un lateral con más tendencia ofensiva que defensiva, lógicamente. Su paso por La Masía también se nota en su capacidad de asociación, le gusta tocar mucho con sus compañeros y a veces se va un poco hacia dentro. Posee un gran desborde, principalmente debido a su buen regate y su habilidad en el uno contra uno. Su reconversión recuerda mucho a la de Jordi Alba, salvo por el detalle de que Héctor es diestro; casi podríamos decir que es diestro cerrado.
